Matchstick Men

Hi You DIYer’s…

I have a quick one for yea here…

Really easy…

Do you know when… say for example you taken down a door or something like that… even a shelf out of a wardrobe / chest of drawers… and you want to put it back together again and find that the screws won’t stop turning when you put them back into the holes they came out off…. Well here’s a tip…

Get yourself some matchsticks and put them into the holes where the screws will go again and wallah… you have made the holes smaller so when you put the screws back in they will tighten up nice and easy again..

Now remember to break of the part of the matchstick that’s left sticking out of the hole… just break it off at the top of the hole and use the rest for the other holes that need to be filled up…. You can use as many matchsticks as you like to fill the hole as sometimes the hole is bigger than the size of the matchstick…

Simple and cheap and environmentally safe…

You can buy a big bag of matchsticks from you local Arts and Crafts shop and you will have them forever and a day…

I do this all the time when I get that screw that just does not want to go home… No you can get it home and tight and lock the door behind it so it can’t get out again until you let it out for a wee.. Ha Ha…

I’ll Be Back… Soon
